It is that time once again to solicit the Lincoln Elementary Community for members willing to join the PTA Nominating Committee. This Nominating Committee will be gathering nominations for PTA board positions open for the 2019-2020 school year.
Nominating Committee Members should be:
knowledgeable about the PTA, aware of potential nominees, familiar with qualifications, and willing to devote time.
Responsibilities of the Nominating Committee:
- A Nominating Committee member needs to be a Lincoln PTA member.
- Gather potential nominees for PTA office in an orderly manner and within a specified time.
- Hold open and frank discussions among members of the committee regarding nominations. All discussions are strictly confidential, and no information should leave the committee meeting, even after the officers have been elected.
- Committee members themselves may be nominated for office.
- Continue to serve on the Nominating Committee until the annual election meeting in April.

Interest will be gathered until January 31. Next, the PTA president will present the interested persons at the February PTA Association Meeting on Wednesday, February 13. The entire Association will vote and elect the Nominating Committee members. The PTA parliamentarian will coordinate the meetings with the committee members.
