Overview

Welcome Lincoln Families. We hope you enjoyed the summer and are ready to start the new school year.

The Parent-Teacher Association is committed to making this a terrific year for all Lincoln students and encourages all parents to find some way to help make this commitment a reality.

Meet The Principal and Staff - Welcome Back Coffee

We invite all parents, new and returning, to meet Principal Paul Chun, faculty and staff at a Welcome Back Coffee scheduled for Thursday, August 25, at 4 p.m. in the Lincoln Multi-Purpose room. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the new principal and learn more about Lincoln programs.

At the state and national level, your membership adjoins your voice with millions others making the case for education and children. Please click here to see how your membership dollars are used.

PTA Fundraising
In addition to the basic membership-funded programs, the Lincoln PTA runs the Welcome Back Dinner, Book Fair*, Teacher and Staff Appreciation events and the Walkathon**. These programs are run by parent volunteers and paid for through income generated by the programs.

* Book Fair money raised (net) is used to purchase books for the classrooms and school library.
** Walkathon net proceeds are provided to the teachers for curriculum support materials, classroom technology and training.

Lincoln Yearbook

Lincoln Yearbooks are wonderful keepsakes filled with photographs of friends, classroom parties, school-wide events, teachers and staff. Click here to order your copy of the 2011-2012 Yearbook today and save $5.00.

The Lincoln Challenge

This year we’re challenging all Lincoln parents to pledge a minimum of two volunteer hours per Lincoln student each month (or a total of 10 hours served at any time throughout the year). There are a variety of volunteer opportunities from grading papers at home to designing web pages, or helping in the classroom, organizing events, assisting with the book fair or chaperoning a class field trip.

This is an opportunity to be an active participant in your child’s school and make a difference in the Lincoln Community. You do not need to be on campus to volunteer. Many volunteer activities can be completed at home in the evenings.

To get started sign up for one of the volunteer opportunities listed at https://sites.google.com/site/leopardvolunteers/signup or check with your child’s teacher to see how you can help.
