PTA Sponsored Programs

The PTA sponsors a variety of programs and events to support the Lincoln community.

Bookfair
This PTA event raises approximately $3,000 each year to benefit the school library and computer lab. Volunteer

Carnival
The Lincoln Carnival is held in the Spring. The objective of this event is to build stronger Lincoln community ties through a day of fun and celebration. Volunteer

Directory
Each year the PTA compiles a listing of all students and their families broken out by classroom.  The directory is provided to all Lincoln PTA members. Volunteer

Disaster Kits
The PTA prepares disaster kits and organizes volunteers to support the earthquake and fire drills. Volunteer

Holiday Baskets
Each year the PTA c ollects money and organizes the production and distribution of holiday baskets for needy families. Volunteer

Ice Cream Social
This fun community-building event is held in March. Volunteer

International Night
The International Night celebrates Lincoln’s rich diversity with exchanges of music , dance and favorite ethnic dishes. Volunteer

Library Support
The PTA recruits and organizes volunteers to assist Librarians. Volunteer

PTA Reflections Contest
Each year the the Lincoln PTA promotes and supports student participation in the national PTA Reflections contest. This contest provides the opportunity for students to express themselves creatively and receive recognition. Volunteer

Red Ribbon Week
The PTA organizes the “Red Ribbon Week” which builds student awareness for the dangers of alcohol, drugs and tobacco. Volunteer

Room Parent Volunteers
The PTA c oordinates room parent volunteers to ensure class parties are planned and executed. Volunteer

Running Program
This PTA-sponsored program is held at lunchtime through the year.  All students (first through fifth grade) are encouraged to participate. Volunteer

Teacher Appreciation
The PTA hosts a Back to School Luncheon in August for teachers  and organizes the Teacher  Appreciation Week in April. Volunteer

University Day
Each year the PTA c oordinates  the University Day events.  The objective of these events is to provide students with an expanded awareness of different occupations. Volunteer

Welcome Back Dinner
The Welcome Back Dinner is held at the beginning of the year to welcome new families and renew ties with returning students and their families. Volunteer

Yard Duty
The PTA recruits and organizes Yard Duty parent volunteers to supervise students during their lunch periods. Volunteer

Year Book
Publishing of the Lincoln Year Book is managed by the PTA. Volunteer
