PTA Sponsored Programs

The PTA sponsors a variety of programs and events to support the Lincoln community.

Please contact Lincoln PTA Board members if you want to volunteer any of the following events

Bookfair
This PTA event raises approximately $3,000 each year to benefit the school library and computer lab.

Directory
Each year the PTA compiles a listing of all students and their families broken out by classroom.  The directory is provided to all Lincoln PTA members.

Disaster Kits
The PTA prepares disaster kits and organizes volunteers to support the earthquake and fire drills.

Holiday Baskets
Each year the PTA collects money to support Lincoln families in need.

Ice Cream Social
This fun community-building event is held in the spring.

Morning Valet
Parents assist with morning student valets and traffic flow to minimize traffic tie-ups and ensure child safety.

PTA Reflections Contest
Each year the the Lincoln PTA promotes and supports student participation in the national PTA Reflections contest. This contest provides the opportunity for students to express themselves creatively and receive recognition.

Red Ribbon Week
The PTA organizes the “Red Ribbon Week” which builds student awareness for the dangers of alcohol, drugs and tobacco.

Room Parent Volunteers
The PTA c oordinates room parent volunteers to ensure class parties are planned and executed.

Running Program
This PTA-sponsored program is held at lunchtime through the year.  All students (first through fifth grade) are encouraged to participate.

Teacher Appreciation
The PTA hosts a Back to School Luncheon in August for teachers  and organizes the Teacher  Appreciation Week in April.

Walkathon
The Walkathon is a fun event open to all Lincoln students, their families and friends. The money raise by this event supports Lincoln bey providing money for teachers to use in the classroom.

Welcome Back Coffee
The Welcome Back Coffee is held at the beginning of the year to provide the opportunity for families to meet the principal and staff, welcome new families and renew ties with returning students and their families.

Yearbook
Parent volunteers design and publish the Lincoln Year Book.
