Getting Started

Registration:

  • Registration fee reserves a Lincoln drawstring bag per registered participant and includes access to the walk-a-thon track and all carnival games for Festival Day on Friday, October 27, 2017.  Lincoln bags are guaranteed for early registrations.  For regular registrations, bags will be available while supplies last.
  • Early registration facilitates Fall Festival organizers to better plan for supplies and food.  Please help to consider completing your early registration.
    • Early Registration fee: $20 on or before Tuesday, October 24, 2017
    • Regular Registration fee: $25 from Wednesday, October 25, 2017 through day of event on Friday, October 27, 2017

Event Rules:

  • This year’s event is held the Friday before Halloween, and all participants are invited to wear their Halloween costumes as they walk around the Track.  Costumes are optional.  Costumes must adhere to Lincoln Elementary School Policy.
  • Prior to event day, registration will be completed online only.  On event day, registration will be completed in-person at check-in table.
  • Prior to event day, a student/adult qualifies as a participant after completing and submitting the online Registration, Waiver and Rule agreements, and paying the per-participant registration fee. All students/adults who have completed the online registration and paid the registration fee by the deadline of Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 6pm, can reserve a Lincoln bag.  For Lincoln students, bags will be distributed to their classrooms on event day.  All non-student participants may pick up their bags at registration check-in on event day.  On event day, a student/adult qualifies as a participant when a parent/guardian completes and sign the on-site Registration form, Waiver and Rule agreements, and paying the per-participant registration fee. Registrations are required for all participants entering the walk-a-thon track.  
  • Any walker under 18 years of age must register through their parent or guardian.
  • Family and friends (non-students) are welcome to participate by completing a separate registration.  All walkers (including family and friends) must complete the online Waiver and Rule agreements to participate. Registration fee applies for guest participants as well.  
  • For safety reasons, children on the track must do their own walking. Children cannot be carried or transported in some other manner while on the track. No strollers are allowed on the track.
  • Only walking is permitted on the track.  Running, skateboarding, biking, tricycling, scootering, etc., are not allowed during the event.
  • Entering and exiting the track must be done at the designated area next to lap marking station.
  • School rules apply. Please show respect, especially when passing people on the track.
  • No pets allowed.
  • Physically challenged participants are allowed special considerations for walking laps during the event. Please contact the Lincoln PTA Board at LincolnPTAConnect@gmail.com for more information. We want to make sure everyone enjoys the day.
  • We are streamlining the sponsorship and sponsor outreach process by utilizing 99Pledges.  Through 99Pledges, a sponsorship page will be created for all registered students to track their sponsorships.  Sponsorships may be completed by check/cash or credit card.
  • Check/Cash sponsorships: please download and complete the form from this link http://tinyurl.com/SponsorshipForm2017, put your check/cash payment along with the form into an envelope labeled as “Lincoln PTA Fall Festival, and turn it into the front office or your classroom teacher.
  • Credit card sponsorships: please use 99Pledges for all credit card sponsorships, including those made by friends and family.
  • All participants for auctions must be 21 years and older.
  • All auction items are deemed in as-is conditions; no returns will be accepted.
  • Auction winners are responsible for transporting their item(s) home
  • Unless specified, gift certificates expire 1 year from the auction date. Gift certificates cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

 

Event Waivers:

  • In recognition of the risk of injury while participating in the Lincoln Elementary Fall Festival 2017, and as consideration for the right to participate in all the event activities (walk-a-thon, carnival games, auction, food, etc.), the completion of the online registration certifies that you have read and agree to all the outlined rules.
  • Furthermore, you agree to grant permission for your child/children to participate in the Fall Festival 2017.  You further understand that you or your authorized caregiver will have sole responsibility for the supervision of your child/children for the duration of the event.  Anyone not abiding by the rules will be disqualified from event participation and will forfeit all prizes.  
  • Finally, you agree to hold harmless Lincoln Elementary School, the Cupertino Union School District and the Lincoln Elementary School PTA from any and all liability.
